I'm switching from Windows 10 to a "to be determined" Linux distribution (probably Linux Mint) and borrowed an earlier edition of the book from my local library, using it for three weeks to get my feet wet. It got me up and going so I decided to invest in my own copy to have as an on hand reference. Generally "Dummies" series books I find to be good for beginners, and as competency increases, more advanced tomes can be acquired. I recommend checking your local library first before buying.

However, the pages are similar to newsprint and make highlighting difficult. Overall the text is a fine addition to the Linux library.
